Formiconi
Formiconi began in 2002 when two brothers decided to commercially produce a regional wine in the style of Nazareno Formiconi, their father. Nazareno had been making a wine from the the Cesanese varietal particular to Affile for sixty years. His devotion to quality created a a surprisingly delicious, home-made red wine which was just for him, his family, and a few lucky friends.
All the elements of an excellent product were there at the beginning. The brilliant position of the vineyard in the territory of Affile, the Cesanese (a native vine to the area), and a proven process. The only thing they needed to add was a modern facility and some additional acres of land. The result is a unique wine of Lazio.
