Reviews:

2006 Roero Bricco Medica – 93 Points – Robert Parker Wine Advocate (Oct. 2009)
“The estate’s 2006 Roero Bricco Medica, a new bottling, is at once more linear and fragrant than the Roero, with an expression of fruit that tends towards raspberries, menthol, flowers and sweet spices. The wine reveals terrific energy, focus and vibrancy, with well-integrated tannins and a long, minerally finish.  It’s hard to believe, but the Bricco Medica is made from young vines that were just a few years old in 2006….This is a superb set of wines from proprietor Mario Roagna and Cascina Val del Prete, a small family-run property that deserves to be far better known “ ~ A.G.

2007 Roero Bricco Medica – 92+ Points – Robert Parker Wine Advocate (Dec 2010 #192)
“The 2007 Roero Bricco Medica is a more delicate wine than the Roero. This shows suggestions of crushed flowers, sweet baking spices, red cherries and raspberries, all of which meld together nicely on a mid-weight frame that is more typical of Nebbiolo than the more exuberant, fruit-driven Roero. Over time, the Bricco Medica reveals gorgeous inner perfume that adds to the open-knit, attractive finish.”  ~A.G.

2010 Roero Bricco Medica – 89 Points – Vinous Media (Oct 2013)
“The 2010 Roero Bricco Medica is intense, layered and very nicely balanced. There is a sense of energy in the 2010 that is especially appealing. Dark red/black plums, tobacco, smoke, licorice and menthol all flow through to the powerful, incisive finish.” ~A.G.
