Tasting Notes:
Roero Bricco Medica is a more delicate wine than that of the Roero. Showing suggestions of crushed flowers, sweet baking spices, red cherries and raspberries, all of which meld together nicely on a mid-weight frame that is more typical of Nebbiolo than the more exuberant, fruit-driven Roero. Over time the Bricco Medica reveals gorgeous inner perfume that adds to the open-knit, attractive finish.

Vinyard Notes:
Production Area: Cuneo, Roero Vineyard: The Val del Prete vineyard extends for about three acres at 900 feet above sea level and enjoys an exposure to the south. The vines are 15+ years old with a density of 2.100 plants per acre. The vineyard is bio-dynamically fertilized. Planting System: Guyot Soil: Mainly calcareous with 30% sandy. Harvest: Beginning of October. Yield: Less than 3 pounds of grapes per vine.

Winemaking Notes:
Vinification: A 25/30-days maceration and fermentation in cement with 2-3 daily pump-overs. Aging: 16 months in cement and 6 months in the bottle. Total Production: 7000 bottles
