Roero Arneis, "Luèt"

Luèt meaning small wolf in the Piemontese dialect is made of Arneis, the historical grape from the Roero district. It is typically pleasing on the palate with slightly low acidity.

Tasting Notes:
Color: straw yellow with greenish hues Bouquet:  floral scents with aromatic notes Taste:  soft with a persistent finish Luet is made in a rich, creamy style that brings out the grape's richness and texture.  This is one of the bigger, fatter versions of Arneis.

Vinyard Notes:
Production Zone:  Priocca,  Cuneo Vineyard:  The Luet vineyard extends for 3.7 acres at 820 feet above sea level. The exposure is partly to the east and partly to the west. The vines are 20+ years old with a density of 2.700 plants per acre. The vineyard is bio-dynamically fertilized. Soil: Sandy with sections of clay Harvest:  mid September, by hand

Winemaking Notes:
Vinification: A 3-day maceration on the lees. 100% is fermented in stainless steel tanks. It rests on the yeasts for 3 months. Aging in stainless for 4 months and 3 months in the bottle.
