Pallagrello, "Sphaeranera"

The volcanic soils allow this Pallagrello Rosso to be grown with biodynamic methods. This wine is vinified naturally and the mature grapes are macerated for a prolonged period of time in earthenware amphorae. Only natural occurring wild yeasts are used and this wine is never subjected to filtration.

Color: deep garnet Taste: deliciously smooth and consistent, complex without being overly aggressive. Beautiful texture and lush red and black fruit. Food pairing: compliments well with grilled meats, vegetables and aged cheeses.

Vineyard Cacciagalli, Teano (CE), elevation of 600 feet a.s.l. - 4,400 vines per Ha. Training system: guyot Soil: volcanic, limestone-clay with good organic matter

Harvest: by hand, first week of October Vinification: prolonged maceration on the skins using wild yeasts and aged in amphorae.
