Tasting Notes:
Color: Ruby red; less intense color
Bouquet: Distinctive fragrance, soft and delicate reminiscent of violets that enhances and improves with aging as well as berries.
Flavor:  from dry to pleasantly sweet with good body. When young, this wine is velvety and harmonious. Elegant, complex and good finesse.
Serving suggestions: It is best served at 16° - 18° C or 60-65° F.
Food Pairings:  Pairs well with beef, pork and chicken.

Vinyard Notes:
Vineyard: Sits above 300 meters and has east - west exposure, located high in the hills overlooking the iconic Barbaresco tower, the village and the Tanaro River. Within the Langhe subregion.
Soil: high concentration of calcareous marl with sandy veins.
Viticulture:  average age of productive vines is 40 though they range in age from 35 to 70 years old.
Area: 1 hectare/2.45 acres

Winemaking Notes:
Vinification:  Fermentation at 28°C/82°F for 7 days on the skins, malolactic completed, Alcohol 14% by vol.
Aging: 9 months steel.
Aging Capacity: Properly preserved at a steady temperature of 14°-15°C, laid down, in the dark, this wine can keep its characteristics for 8- 10 years.
