Aglianico Paestum “Naima”
In 1959, John Coltrane wrote a ballad so tender it stopped time. He called it “Naima.” Decades later, on sun-struck hills above the Mediterranean, De Conciliis bottled its homage to this love song.
Naima is the De Conciliis flagship — pure Aglianico from old organic vines rooted in the Cilento’s ancient seabed soils, between the Greek temples of Paestum and the wild national park. Patiently raised in steel and large casks, it pours deep garnet and unfolds slowly: ripe dark cherry, plum, and forest floor, then ethereal notes of Mediterranean scrub, dried flowers, and spice.

2005 Paestum Naima – 90 Points – Wine Spectator (Dec. 2010)
2005 Paestum Naima – 92 Points – Robert Parker Wine Advocate (#182 Apr 2009)
“The 2005 Naima is an intriguing Aglianico aged in French oak. Dark sensations of black cherries, grilled herbs, leather and licorice flow from this imposing, muscular wine. A blast of tar, sweet roses and game rises on the long, powerful finish. Some rough edges remain, but additional bottle age should help the wine come together.” ~A.G.
