Poderi dei Bricchi Astigiani
Poderi dei Bricchi Astigiani is an winery that can be considered altogether modest in comparison to its Tuscan sibling Badia di Morrona of the Gaslini Alberti family. Currently they manage 20ha (50 acres) of vineyards situated in one of the finest sub-zones of the province of Asti in Piedmont that includes a lovely rural hospitality facility and a small, yet functional, cellar. The main varietal cultivated here is the ubiquitous Barbera which dominates the Asti hillsides.
Purchased at the end of the 1990s, the Poderi dei Bricchi Astigiani estate represents the Gaslini Alberti family’s dedication to Piedmont and its wines. Here as well, just as in Tuscany, the Gaslini Alberti family has decided to respect the historic tradition of the territory with special efforts for Barbera. Piedmont is one of the world’s greatest terroirs, one capable of strongly characterizing any grape variety, especially Barbera on which this winery is focused.
