Campomasua Amarone is the result of a selection process from a particularly suitable vineyard with ideal exposure and location. It is only produced in exceptional vintages from an accurate and careful selection of grapes from the vineyards. It is the expression of style and creativity while respecting traditions.

Vineyard: 750 feet above sea level with a mainly south-western exposure. Density: 1,300 vines per acre. Average vines age: 30 years old.
Planting System: Trento-style Pergola.
Soil:. Very light limestone rich in fossils.
Harvest: Hand picked in the third week of September.
Yield: About 1.6 tons per acre
Alcohol: 16%
Vinification: The finest bunches are selected and arranged on flat baskets in dry and well ventiled rooms until January. During the drying process the grapes they lose about 40% of their weight. Around the third week of February the dried grapes are pressed keeping them in bunches. Fermentation takes place at a temperature of 10/15 °c with a 45 day maceration and daily pump-overs. Malolactic fermentation takes place in May/June.
Aging: 24 months in small and large oak barrels (tonneaux) and 12 months in the bottle
Tasting Notes: This wine is packed with rich, deep fruit. The popularity of Amarone has exploded in the last couple of years and this Classico from Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara grapes is one of the finest examples to be found. Sleek, plummy, sweet, and fragrant.
