Review Wine Advocate, 91 Pts

by Giovanni Galloni, April 2009 edition

The 2006 Arshura is 100% Montepulciano from the southern reaches of the Marche raised in new French oak. This bold, racy wine bursts from the glass with super-ripe, jammy blackberries, blueberries, herbs, spices, French oak, menthol and licorice. The Arshura is an especially rich, sumptuous wine for this part of Italy, and it offers tons of sheer personality and class. I loved it. Anticipated maturity: 2009-2014.
