Scacciadiavoli, MONTEFALCO ROSSO
After selecting the red grapes for the production of the "Sagrantinodi Montefalco", the remaining red grapes are harvested for the production
of a fresh wine, ideally drunk with all the rich, varied and tasty
dishes of the Umbrian cuisine. The predominant Sangiovese grapes are blend with a selection of local red grapes to make this Montefalco Rosso a pleasantly complex wine with enough structure to be aged 4 to 5
years.

Grape varieties: Sangiovese 60%, Sagrantino 15% Merlot, or
other red grapes 25%.
Ageing: 12 months in large wooden oak barrels and 6 months in the bottle.

Colour: Ruby red with a violet hue.
Bouquet: A fresh and fruity wine, slightly reminiscent
of cherries.

Taste: Full-bodied, slightly tannic.
Tasting Notes: Rich ruby red in color aged in large Slavonian
oak barrels. Intense with notes of ripe red fruit and delicate hints
of vanilla, on the palate is full bodied, rich and dry with a long
finish. Best served with red meat and spicy cheese.
