Vineyard: 260 ft above sea level with a south-easterly exposure. Density: 1,012 vines per acre. Average vines age: 20-30 years old.
Planting System: Modified Veronese Pergola.
Soil:. Medium-texture of volcanic origin.
Harvest: Hand picked end of September.
Yield: About 620 gallons per acre
Alcohol: 12%
Vinification: Fermented in stainless steel tanks on the lees.
Aging: 6 months in stainless steel tanks.
Tasting Notes: Bright straw yellow. The nose is delicate, with notes of flowers and almonds. Dry, well-structured on the palate and delicately fruity, with the hint of bitter almonds on the finish.
Food Pairings: Seafood, hors d’oeuvres, gnocchi and “baccalà (salt cod). |
