Vineyard: Disperato at 550 feet above sea level. Eastern exposure
Planting System: Spurred Cordon
Soil: A soil rich in sand and organic material with medium calcareous content.
Harvest: Starting in September with the Merlot followed by the Syrah and then the Sangiovese.
Alcohol: 14%
Vinification: The varietals are fermented at different temperatures with a 10-day maceration.
Aging: 12 months in French oak barrels plus 5 months in the bottle
Tasting Notes: Intense and ruby red color. Delicate yet pronounced red fruity bouquet with hints of cherry and currants. Medium bodied, with dense tannins that balance with the grassy aroma making this wine velvety and elegant.
Food Pairings: Roast and braised meat dishes.

Blackberry, meat and spice aromas. Full-bodied, with velvety tannins and a long, caressing finish. Balanced and pretty. Syrah, Sangiovese and Merlot. Best after 2009. 1,500 cases made. –JS
